Italian broadcast powerhouse Mediaset will unveil an around-the-clock news channel that will start operations this year, company president Fedele Confalonieri said Tuesday.
Confalonieri, speaking at the 26th meeting of Italy's leading editors union near Milan, said the channel will be part of the new News Mediaset unit and will be based on a partnership between Mediaset and a major international publishing and news organization. He did not provide further details.

Syfy, the cable channel behind such series as "Warehouse 13" and the "Ghost Hunters" reality shows, is getting into the movie business.
